USC KDFC SF CLASSICAL RADIO STATION OFFICE
The project encompassed the enhancement of a second-floor area situated within the recently erected San Francisco Conservatory of Music building.
ConAm Building Co was selected to build the new USC owned - KDFC radio station offices located in San Francisco, CA. The new build-out consisted of non-load bearing partitions, suspended ceiling systems, floor and wall finishes, casework, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work. The space included one large “On-Air” studio for broadcasting radio programs to the Bay Area. Additionally, three other studios were built for production and voiceovers. All studios were constructed to the strictest sound tolerances and included double barrier walls, sound doors and windows and acoustically treated wall panels. The remainder of the space included sound attenuated glass at private offices, a break area, and a large lounge area with full-size grand piano for private performances.
